MOT Tester / Mechanic
Location: Letchworth, Hertfordshire
Salary: £28,000 – £42,000 DOE

Our client, a well-established independent automotive business based in Letchworth, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic to join their growing workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automotive professional with strong mechanical knowledge and MOT testing experience to join a busy and professional working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
- Diagnose faults and identify mechanical issues
- Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles
- Inspect brakes, tyres, suspension, exhausts, and steering systems
- Complete all documentation accurately and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of workshop safety and housekeeping
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester / Vehicle Mechanic
- Valid MOT Tester qualification preferred
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Reliable and professional attitude
