We’re looking for a Machine Operator to join a leading manufacturing business in Royston. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a skilled production team within a modern engineering environment, operating a range of advanced manufacturing equipment.
The role involves setting and operating Mazak machinery, laser cutting equipment, and XYZ CNC lathes to produce high-quality components to specification. You'll be responsible for monitoring machine performance, carrying out quality checks, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
To be successful, you should have:
- Experience operating Mazak machines, laser cutting equipment, or XYZ CNC lathes
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment and carrying out quality inspections
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
- Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or precision machining environments would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate with relevant machine operating experience.
