We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking engineering business for an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker to join their modern, well-equipped toolroom team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a precision engineering environment using industry-leading equipment, including Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire eroders, Sodick CNC spark eroders, Jones & Shipman grinders, alongside in-house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming via Powermill.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this hands-on role, you will be involved in the manufacture, modification, and maintenance of high-quality injection mould tools, including:
- Operating manual milling machines and lathes
- Surface and cylindrical grinding using precision equipment
- Working with CNC wire and spark erosion machinery
- Modifying and repairing injection mould tools to a high standard
- Manufacturing and fitting new mould tools from start to finish
- Using hand tools for fitting, finishing, and assembly work
- Wiring and fault finding on hot runner systems
- Supporting general toolmaking, milling, grinding, and precision fitting tasks
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in injection mould toolmaking
- Strong background in high-precision machining, milling, grinding, and fitting
- Experience assembling, repairing, and modifying complex mould tools
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines without compromising quality or safety
- Experience preparing new mould tools for production
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit team
