Composite / Paint Blade Technician – Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Biggleswade
We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a skilled Composite / Paint Blade Technician to join their MRO workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands-on skills to work in a specialist aviation environment, with opportunities for development, travel, and long-term progression.
Role Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to support composite and fibreglass propeller blade repairs, along with associated paint and finishing activities. The position is hands-on and workshop-based, following company procedures and OEM manuals.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out composite propeller blade repairs.

Install metallic compound leading edges.

Perform on-aircraft repairs, including potential overseas travel.

Carry out fibreglass and carbon fibre working practices.

Complete painting processes during repair and overhaul.

Perform blade machining and balancing operations.
-
Masking, preparation, cleaning, and painting of blades and components.
-
Inspect components and identify items for scrap, rework, or refit in line with OEM manuals.

Review and implement service bulletins and technical information.

Maintain awareness of COSHH regulations.

Work effectively within a small team or independently with minimal supervision.

Maintain high standards, accountability, and pride in workmanship.
Person Specification:
-
Previous experience in an engineering or hand-crafting role (e.g. carpentry) is desirable.

Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
-
Aviation industry experience is highly desirable.

Composite, fibreglass, and paint experience preferred.
