Our client is seeking a practical, hands-on Chemical Process Engineer to assist in the development, scaling, and implementation of experimental chemical processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in process development, plant operations, and project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, optimisation, and implementation of chemical process systems, from pilot-scale to full plant operations.
- Support senior engineers and project teams in day-to-day project tasks.
- Contribute to R&D activities and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and legislation.
- Travel between sites as needed to support installations, commissioning, and project meetings.
- Participate in hands-on work, including assisting with plant equipment installation or modifications.
- Prepare reports, technical documentation, and presentations to communicate project progress.
- Attend project and client meetings as required.
Candidate Specification:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years’ professional experience in process development, plant operations, or a related industry.
- Strong practical, hands-on approach to chemical/process engineering challenges.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in chemical/process environments.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel between sites.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project a plus).
