Overview
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run automotive business for a skilled and reliable Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join their growing maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanic looking for a change from traditional garage work and interested in working on motorhomes and camper vans within a friendly and supportive workshop environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this varied and practical role, responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- Oil, tyre, and brake changes
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and technical issues
- Using hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance work
- Installing accessories and modifications including bike racks, air conditioning units, WIFI systems, and other fittings
- Supporting habitation servicing work (full training provided)
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety within the workshop
- Working independently and as part of a close-knit team
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a mechanic or within a similar technical role
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a variety of vehicle types
- Experience using hand tools and power tools confidently and safely
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant mechanical qualifications or certifications would be advantageous
- A practical, hands-on attitude with willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
No previous motorhome habitation experience is required — full training will be provided.

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Saturdays: 9:00am – 4:00pm (rota basis)
